Year: Junior

Accomplishments: After taking over as the Broncos’ starter, Autry passed for 2,100 yards and 25 touchdowns. He also led his team to its third straight appearance in a Valley Championship game.

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: After sharing carries as a junior, Valenica shined as the Warriors’ feature back his senior year. During the 2013 season Valencia rushed for 1,478 yards and 23 touchdowns. He finished his career with more than 2,000 yards and 29 touchdowns on the ground.

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: Porchia excelled in nearly every facet of the game—offense, defense and special teams—but he was simply unstoppable as a ballcarrier. He rushed for 2,357 yards this past season and set the school’s career rushing record at 5,428 yards.

Accomplishments: In addition to his blocking responsibilities, Garcia also became the Blazers’ primary ballcarrier from his fullback position, rushing for 917 yards and 10 touchdowns this past season.

Accomplishments: Hunt was one of the Bullpups’ most trusted wideouts, catching 44 passes for 716 yards and four touchdowns on the season, including six catches for 80 yards in Hanford’s upset performance in the annual Milk Can Game vs. Lemoore.

DERRICK VICKERS

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: One of the most versatile players in the Valley, Vickers caught 27 passes for 466 yards and three touchdowns this past season, while also finishing second on the team in rushing with 674 yards and eight touchdowns with a 10.2 yards-per-carry average.

KEVIN HAYES

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: The 6-foot-3 Hayes gave the Drillers a big, dependable target on the perimeter, as he caught 24 passes for 416 yards and three touchdowns. He was also the Drillers’ starting cornerback and recorded a crucial interception he returned for a touchdown in the State Championship game.

Year: Sophomore

Accomplishments: As just a sophomore, Huerta started at tight end for Dinuba and caught 16 passes for 310 yards and four touchdowns as the Emperors captured the Division III Valley Championship.

Accomplishments: The 5-foot-10, 215-pound senior played a crucial role on the Drillers’ offensive line as they made a run to a Division I State Championship.

Accomplishments: At 6-foot-3, 210-pounds, Littles possessed both the strength and agility necessary for the primary blocker for potent Driller offensive attack that averaged 44.7 points per game.

JONATHAN GONZALEZ

School: Central
Year: Senior

Accomplishments: Gonzalez provided some senior leadership on an offensive line unit that paved the weigh for the Grizzlies to score 31.9 points per game this past season.

Year: Junior

Accomplishments: The 6-foot-2, 260-pound Flores anchored a Blue Raider unit that really came together at the end of the season, as the they scored 40 or more points in four straight games near the end of the season.

Year: Junior

Accomplishments: The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Hale has both the height and grades to play at the next level. After starting this past season, he’ll return in 2014 to provide senior leadership for the Panthers’ offensive line.

DEFENSE

Coleman-Kaczynski-Hanford-7316

COLEMAN KACZYNSKI

School: Hanford
Year: Junior

Accomplishments: In 2013 Kaczynski served as the Bullpups top pass rusher, leading the team with five sacks on the season. He also recorded 47 tackles, four of which were for a loss, broke up two passes, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble.

Year: Junior

Accomplishments: The 6-foot-3, 275-pound Brooks provided a large presence in the middle of the Drillers’ non-traditional defensive front that gave up just 17.2 points per game as defensive unit, including just 10.2 points per game against Southwest Yosemite League foes.

Year: Junior

Accomplishments: Martineau provided both agility and toughness for the Bakersfield Christian defensive front, as he recorded 78 tackles and five sacks on the season, as the Eagles’ made an appearance in the Division IV State Championship game.

Accomplishments: The 5-foot-11, 220-pound Zavaleta anchored the defensive line for Wolf Pack team that made a return to the Division III Valley Championship game, after many counted it out with the graduation of many key players from the year before.

Accomplishments: A mainstay on the Drillers’ defense since his freshman season, Bruce continued his inspired play his junior year. In Bakersfield’s State Championship victory, Bruce recorded six tackles and one sack, as the Drillers brought home the title.

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: The 6-foot-2, 230-pound Hood recorded 112 tackles, four sacks, five blocked passes, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries on the season, to go with the senior leadership he provided for the Golden Hawk defensive unit.

RYAN WRIGHT

Year: Junior

Accomplishments: The 6-foot, 238-pound Wright served as Kerman’s top run-stopper and was the team’s top tackler, with 59 stops, on a defensive unit that proved pivotal in the Lions’ improvement from 3-7 in 2012 to 7-5 in 2013. His team will look to take another step, as he returns for his senior season.

Accomplishments: After missing the entire 2012 season with a heart condition, Stancil made the most of his senior season, as he led a defensive unit that helped the Drillers secure the CIF Division I State Championship this past season. In the State Championship game, he recorded three tackles, a sack and an interception.

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: Medovitich recoded 50 tackles on the season and led the Tehachapi defense with three interceptions and also broke up three other passes and forced a fumble. He also served as the team’s punter and averaged 35.9 yards per punt for the year.

Accomplishments: From his defensive back position, Ramirez led the Bullpups with 84 tackles on season, including 19 in Hanford’s 19-14 upset of Lemoore in the annual Milk Can classic. He also broke up five passes, forced a fumble and recovered two fumbles.

Accomplishments: The scrappy Timberwolf senior came through with big contributions to the Clovis East defensive unit in 2013. He also played special teams and running back on offense, including a 113-yard rushing performance against Central in TRAC play.

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: The 5-foot-8, 165-pound Dallas was a tenacious cover cornerback for the Drillers, often lining up across from the opponents’ top receivers. In the State Championship game, Dallas made five tackles, three of which were solo stops, as picked off a pass and returned it 23 yards to end a drive.

Frank-Dalena-San-Joaquin-Memorial-7195

Year: Junior

Accomplishments: Dalena scored 29 points for the Panthers with his kicking. He connected on 26 of 31 PAT attempts and was 1 for 1 on field goal attempts for the season. He also started at cornerback for the San Joaquin Memorial defense and recorded 27 tackles and one interception on the year.

Accomplishments: White returned both punts and kicks for the Blazers. This past season he averaged 24.1 yards per kick return and 14.3 yards per punt return. Offensively, he caught 15 passes for 273 yards and four touchdowns.
