Bakersfield too much for Golden Valley

Bakersfield pounded Golden Valley to a 35-0 lead in the first half, then cruised to a 48-6 win on Friday in Bakersfield.

The Bakersfield California referred the the Drillers’ first half as “flawless” and reported they scored touchdowns on their first five possessions.

Bakersfield’s four-headed rushing attack of Chris Hannible, Silas Nacita, Derrick Vickers and Jonathan Malone rushed for a combined 210 yards.

Driller sophomore Kevin Hayes had an interception he returned to the house.

Golden Valley running back Kwame Johnson rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries in the loss.
