Cabezula scores 2 late TDs to ice Wasco victory

Wasco’s Gabriel Cabezuela scored a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns to seal the Tigers’ 24-3 win over Taft on Friday.

With his Wasco squad leading just 10-7 heading into the final frame, Cabezuela scored his first touchdown on a one-yard run. He followed that with a 49-yard touchdown run to put the game out of reach.

Cabezuela finished the game with 24 carries for 228 yards and two touchdowns.

Deonte Henderson added 15 carries for 53 yards for the Tigers.

Joseph Sanchez led Taft with 15 carries for 69 yards in the contest. Juan Topete scored Taft’s only points of the game on a 22-yard field goal.
