Carr-Fresno-State-4752

Former Bakersfield Christian and Fresno State standout Derek Carr continued to make his case as one of the premier quarterbacks in the NFL with a historic performance in a 30-24 overtime win at Tampa Bay on Sunday.

The Valley legend passed for the most yards in a single game in Raiders franchise history and tied for the ninth most in NFL history.

Carr completed 40-of-59 passes for 513 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in the victory.

Eight games into the season, Carr has completed 66.3 percent of his passes for 2,321 yards, 17 touchdowns and only three interceptions.

But more importantly for Raider fans, he’s led his team to a 6-2 record and has the Silver and Black in strong position for a playoff berth.
