Bray’s Career-Night Powers Kingsburg to Valley Title

Kingsburg quarterback Tyler Bray capped off his senior season with possibly his finest performance of the season, as the Vikings cruised past Taft, 47-16, for the CIF Central Section Division IV Championship on Friday at Kingsburg. Bray, the Tennessee-commit, picked apart the Wildcats, going 19-for-23 for 256 yards, five touchdowns and one interception. One new candidate entered the mix, but for the most part the top teams remained in tact and their leaders remained atop our Player of the Year standings. 1. Trevor Jones, QB, Tulare Stats: Pass: 77.3%, 1814 Yds, 25 TD, 0 Int, Rush: 208 Yds, 5.1 Avg., 8 TD Record: 8-0, 4-0 Eight games, 1814 yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 33 total touchdowns and still ZERO interceptions. KINGSBURG, Calif. — Kingsburg senior Tyler Bray threw for three first half touchdowns against Coalinga, to set the tone for an easy 62-0 Viking victory. Bray would throw for four touchdowns in total and 241 yards. UC Davis commit London Lacy would take the majority of snaps at quarterback after the Vikings established a 27-0 first half lead.
