Clovis West comeback leaves Centennial in shock

After being dominated by Centennial in the first half, Clovis West came out a new team in the second half and left Bakersfield with a 33-21 comeback victory over the Golden Hawks.

Centennial felt confident taking a 21-6 lead into halftime. However Clovis West came out a new football team for the second half and outscored the Golden Hawks 27-0 the rest of the way.

CW quarterback Adrian Martinez showed some of his duel-threat ability with more than 100 yards rushing and passing each. Wide receiver Darian Owens displayed his big play ability with a pair of long touchdowns.

Centennial running back Brandon Robinson rushed 20 times for 122 yards. Cole Beatty scored on 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and a 12-yard touchdown reception.
