CN grad Wells catches first TD pass of season


Clovis North graduate and San Diego State tight end David Wells caught a touchdown pass and led the Aztecs in receptions in a 42-3 win over San Jose State on Friday.

Wells scored the first points of the game on a four-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Christian Chapman.

The former Bronco standout caught five passes for 62 yards and a touchdown in the victory.

The Aztecs started the game with the double-tight formation and Wells started along with fellow tight end Darryl Richardson.

On the season, Wells has caught 13 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown.
