Croney leads Garces past East Bakersfield

Garces running back Sheldon Croney rushed for more than 250 yards as his ninth-ranked Rams set aside East Bakersfield for a 39-14 road win on Friday.

Croney totaled 257 yards and four touchdowns on 31 carries in the game.

The Garces passing game did not have one of its more efficient nights, as quarterback Jake Pavletich completed 5-of-12 passes for 129 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

Dominic Frasch led the Garces receivers with three catches for 76 yards and a touchdown.

Garces took a 32-0 lead into the final quarter, but East Bakersfield added a couple of touchdowns in the final frame.

East Bakersfield sophomore wide receiver Malik Nichols caught five passes for 151 yards and a touchdown in the contest.
