Croney sets Garces single-game rushing record

Garces running back Sheldon Croney would not be denied on his way to a 49-14 win over Golden West on Friday and a school record in the process.

Croney rushed 26 times for a school record 380 yards and four touchdowns.

“He was bent on having a great game, and he wanted to come back after last week and show the type of team we are, and he put it on his shoulders,” Garces head coach Jim Maples told the Bakersfield Californian.

Dom Frasch also had a big game for the Rams, with two catches for 112 yards and a touchdown, plus he rushed for another.
