CVC thrashes Woodlake in opener

Central Valley Christian gave up the first touchdown, but it followed that with a relentless thrashing of Woodlake in the Cavaliers’ 60-7 win on Thursday.

CVC running back Macintyre Garbani scored three touchdowns of 80, five and four yards in the blowout. Quarterback Hunter Knevelbaard also threw two touchdown passes and rushed for another.

Both of Knevelbaard’s touchdown passes were to Sam Vander Dussen—one was 15 yards and another for 30 yards.

Alex te Velde, Brady Vander Dussen and James Garza also each rushed for a touchdown for CVC.

Woodlake’s only score came on a 52-yard fumble recovery returned for a touchdown by Marin Apadaca.
