Dinuba ‘D’ shuts out Kingsburg

The Dinuba defense came through with a shutout in the Emperor’s 17-0 win over Kingsburg on Friday.

The Emperors limited the Vikings to just 43 yards on the ground and 203 yards of total offense in the game.

Dinuba linebacker Wyatt Leppke picked off three passes in the victory.

Offensively, Dinuba quarterback Gustavo Villarreal completed 17-of-28 passes for 246 yards, a touchdown and no interception.

His top target on the night was Nathan Carrion, who caught nine passes for 110 yards.

Kingsburg quarterback Anthony Sierra went 13-for-29 for 160 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions.
