Dinuba pulls away from Kingsburg in the fourth

Kingsburg was looking to play the role of spoiler against No. 8 Dinuba, but the Emperors pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 34-21 win at home.

The Vikings had the game tied 21-21 going into the fourth quarter, but the Emperors scored two unanswered touchdowns in the final frame.

Emperor running back Michael Wright had another triple-digit rushing night, as he carried the ball 24 times for 163 yards and two touchdowns.

Quarterback Isaac Leppke did an excellent job controlling the game and completed 8-of-12 passes for 83 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions.

Kingsburg quarterback Josh Sierra completed 19-of-31 passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw two interceptions. He also rushed for a touchdown for three total scores in the game.

Both of his touchdown passes were to the Brooks twins—a nine-yarder to Emmett and a 10-yarder to Seth.

Wyatt Boss led the Vikings with five catches for 84 yards.
