Dinuba thwarts Central Valley Christian run game

No. 10 Dinuba stymied No. 9 Central Valley Christian and its powerful run game in the Emperors’ 17-0 road win on Friday in Visalia.

The Cavaliers’ workhorse running back Macintyre Garbani was limited to 71 yards on 19 carries. Alex te Velde was CVC’s second leading rusher with eight carries for 25 yards.

Conversely Dinuba running back Michael Wright rushed for 186 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.

Not only was it the first time CVC had been shut out this season, it was the first time Cavaliers were held to less than 44 points.

Dinuba is now 6-1 on the season and has won four straight since losing to Hanford in Week 2.
