Emperors cruise on the road past Reedley

Dinuba running back Michael Wright went over the century mark again leading his Emperors to a 42-14 road win over Reedley on Friday.

Wright rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries in the victory.

Dinuba junior Isaac Leppke improved his record to 2-0 in his young career as the Emperors’ starting quarterback. Against the Pirates he went 12-for-18 for 159 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Evan Herod led Dinuba in receiving with three catches for 49 yards and two touchdowns.

The Dinuba defense bottled Reedley running back Greg Quezada up, limiting him to just 17 yards on nine carries.

Reedley tied the game early on with a 59-yard touchdown pass from Daniel Guerrero to David Castaneda.
