Ervin, Milton power Buchanan run game past Clovis

Buchanan’s run game, led by Kendall Milton and Trevor Ervin, powered the Bears to a 28-13 win over Clovis on Friday at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Ervin scored the first touchdown of the game, with a 32-yard score. Teammate Zach Preson added a one-yard touchdown run, to give the Bears a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.

Clovis made it a one-touchdown game with a 20-yard scoring strike from Trey Lake to Tyson Fraser. However a pair of Ervin touchdown runs in the third quarter put the game out of reach.

Ervin ended the game with 14 carries for 111 yards and three touchdowns. Milton, a freshman, rushed 13 times for 96 yards. Presno contributed 10 carries for 30 yards and a touchdown.

Samir Allen was Clovis’ leading rusher with 20 carries for 124 yards. Lake went 13-for-39 for 133 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.
