Bakersfield College had to play from behind nearly all game on Saturday and although the Renegades fought their way back, they couldn’t overcome the early deficit in a 20-14 loss to Canyons.

BC fell behind 13-0 in the second quarter and would later find itself down 20-7 in the third.

Kern Valley graduate and BC grad Dalton Gallis brought his ‘Gades back to within six points with a one-yard touchdown run with 6:36 remaining in the game, but BC couldn’t add another.

Gallis started his first game for BC last week and threw four touchdown passes. This week he some nice moments but couldn’t find the consistency for the game as a whole.

Gallis went 9-for-20 for 221 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions, plus he rushed for another touchdown.

David Ross was his top receiver with two catches for 103 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively Joseph Hurtado led the ‘Gades with a phenomenal night with 10 tackles and three sacks.
