Greenberry catches a dozen passes vs. Tulane


Washington Union graduate Deontay Greenberry posted his second triple-digit receiving performance of the year in Houston’s 31-24 loss to Tulane on Saturday.

Greenberry caught a season-high 12 passes for 136 yards and a touchdown.

His touchdown came on a nine-yard pass from Greg Ward, Jr. with 1:04 remaining in the game.

The score pulled the Cougars within a touchdown, but the final drive was brought to an abrupt stop when Ward was picked off by Parry Nickerson in the redzone.

Greenberry’s 12 receptions were two off a career high of 14.
