Greenberry signs free agent deal with Cowboys

Former Washington Union standout and University of Houston wide receiver Deontay Greenberry signed a free agent deal with the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday.

After going undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft, Greenberry signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted rookie free agent.

The 2011 Mr. Football for the state of California posted on Facebook a photo of the Dallas Cowboys’ logo along with the caption, “Appreciate the opportunity.. ‪#‎DSI‬.”

During his senior year, Greenberry led the Panthers to the Division III CIF State Championship. He also helped the Panthers win back-to-back Valley Championships in 2010 and 2011.

At Houston, Greenberry posted a career-high 82 receptions for 1,202 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore in 2013. Last year, as a junior, he caught 72 passes for 841 yards and six touchdowns.
