Hanford marches into Kingsburg, comes away with win

Although nothing on the box score may jump out at the casual reader, Hanford went into a very difficult place to win and came out with a convincing 33-12 win over Kingsburg on Friday.

Joseph McDaniel led the Bullpups in rushing with 24 carries for 141 yards, but didn’t score a touchdown in the contest.

Hanford quarterback Ryan Johnson accounted for four touchdowns, as he completed 6-of-12 passes for 128 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions, to go with his two rushing touchdowns.

On the defensive side, the Bullpups bottled up the Kingsburg run game, despite the Vikings’ massive offensive line.

Kingsburg was able to move the ball through the air, as quarterback Josh Sierra completed 17-of-31 passes for 267 yards, but only managed one passing touchdown to go with one interception.

Viking deep threat Emmett Brooks caught three passes in the game for 80 yards, including a 59-yard touchdown catch.
