Harris rushes for 350 yards in Tulare victory

Last week Tulare running back Romello Harris didn’t feel he played up to his capabilities and he responded this week by putting on a show against Kingsburg.

Harris rushed for 357 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries in a 49-28 win at home against the Vikings.

The Redskins also saw the emergence of freshman Emoryie Edwards as a big-time receiving threat at the varsity level.

He’d had a couple respectable games coming in, but Thursday’s performance was his first triple-digit night.

Edwards caught five passes for 124 yards and a touchdown in the contest.

Kingsburg quarterback Josh Sierra went 13-for-21 for 206 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

Austin Martin led the Kingsburg receivers with eight catches for 86 yards. Emmett Brooks added two receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown.

Tulare improved to 2-2 on the season, while Kingsburg dropped to 1-3.
