Harris set single-game school rushing record in shootout

Romello Harris broke the single-game rushing record of one of the prestigious programs in the Valley in Tulare’s 55-34 win over Porterville on Thursday.

Harris rushed for 402 yards—a school record—and five touchdowns on 41 carries in the contest.

But he wasn’t the only one lighting up the scoreboard and the stat sheet.

Porterville running back Isaiah Jones rushed for 345 yards and four touchdowns on 32 carries.

The two of them combined for 747 yards and nine touchdowns in the game.

Tulare improved to 5-3 overall and 3-0 in league play. Porterville dropped to 2-6 on the season and 1-2 against league foes.
