Hodges has big night for Colorado State defense

Independence graduate Preston Hodges played well in a number of facets of the game in the Colorado State’s 49-22 win over Hawai’i on Saturday.

Hodges started at the nickleback position for the Rams and finished third on the team in tackles with six.

But he also recorded a tackle for a loss, forced two fumbles and broke up two passes.

One of the two fumbles he forced was recovered by the Rams, which set up a Colorado State touchdown.

Edison graduate Kevin Nutt and Clovis North graduate Josh Lovingood also contributed for the Colorado State defense and recorded a tackle each.
