Hodges ties for team lead in tackles vs. UNM


Independence graduate Preston Hodges tied for the team lead in tackles in his Colorado State Rams’ 58-20 win over New Mexico on Saturday.

Hodges tied Aaron Davis with nine tackles in the contest to lead the Ram defense. Hodges also recorded a tackle for a loss, a forced fumble and a pass breakup.

The Colorado State defense limited New Mexico to 356 yards from scrimmage, compared to 698 for the Rams.

Clovis North graduate Josh Lovingood and Edison graduate Kevin Nutt also saw time for the Ram defense but did not record stats.
