Kendricks leads Eagles in tackles in season opener

Hoover graduate and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks tied for the team lead in tackles in the Eagles’ season-opening 26-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday.

Kendricks recorded nine tackles—five of which were solo tackles.

West grad and former Fresno State star Ryan Mathews rushed three times for four yards and a touchdown for the Eagles, plus he caught three passes for 24 yards.
