Kessler throws 4 TD passes in USC opener


Centennial grad Cody Kessler threw four touchdown passes before sitting down and letting his backups take over in the Trojans’ 55-6 win over Arkansas State on Saturday in Los Angeles.

Kessler completed 19-of-26 passes for 236 yards and four touchdowns on the night. However he was also sacked five times in the game.

JuJu Smith-Schuster was his top receiver with four catches for 89 yards and a touchdown.

Clovis North grad and Trojan true freshman DL Jacob Daniel also recorded a pair of tackles in the game.
