Lemoore gets past Redwood, remains unbeaten

Lemoore senior quarterback Cort Groathouse passed for four touchdowns, as his Tigers defeated Redwood, 28-14, and remained a perfect 5-0 on the season.

Groathouse completed 18-of-29 passing attempts for 266 yards, four touchdowns and one interception.

Three of his touchdown passes were to Reggie Davis, who caught 10 passes on the night for 146 yards. The other was a 39-yard touchdown pass to Jerald Campbell.

Trey Perryman was the Tigers leading rusher with 11 carries for 73 yards, followed by Groathouse with 10 carries for 56 yards and Darnell Foster with 11 carries for 53 yards.

Redwood running back Jeremiah Johnson led the Ranger rushing attack with 15 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown.

Ranger quarterback Adam Vance completed 14-of-31 passes for 181 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

Rickie Garcia was his top target with seven receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown.
