Liberty-Madera Ranchos rolls with 48 unanswered points

Sierra took a brief 10-7 lead in the first, but it was all Hawks after that, as No. 15 Liberty-Madera Ranchos rolled to a 55-10 win on Friday.

Running back Wade Wallace scored three total touchdowns to lead the Hawks to 48 unanswered points.

Wallace finished the game with 10 carries for 95 yards and two touchdowns, plus a 26-yard touchdown catch.

The Hawks used their normal slough of backs to compliment Wallace.

Jackson Watts rushed five times for 75 yards and a touchdown, Richie Brandt had nine carries for 56 yards and a touchdown and Kendall Malone carried the ball three times for 52 yards and a touchdown.

Quarterback Zach Richey completed 5-of-11 passes for 122 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Two of those touchdowns were to Sawyer Howe.

The Chieftains scored their only touchdown on a 76-yard touchdown pass from Brent Smith to David Kemp.

Minutes later Smith booted a 28-yard field go to give Sierra its brief lead.
