Liberty-Madera Ranchos scores 42-unanswered points in blowout

Caruthers kicked a field for the first points of the game and that was the last it saw of the lead, as Liberty-Madera Ranchos rolled to a 42-3 home win to advance to the Division V semifinals.

Hawk running back Wade Wallace only carried the ball eight times, but still rushed for 161 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

Richie Brandt and Kendall Malone also had touchdown runs in the game and Zach Richey threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to Travis Jordan.

Delcio Tavares rushed 21 times for 162 yards for Caruthers, but the Blue Raiders couldn’t reach the endzone in the game.

Liberty-Madera Ranchos takes a step closer to defending its Division V Valley Championship as it advances to the semifinals to face No. 4 seed Lindsay at home next Friday.
