Lindsay dominant in win over Fowler

Lindsay’s offense was firing on all cylinders on Friday, with a 300-yard passer, 100-yard rusher and 100-receiving in the Cardinals’ 44-7 win at Fowler.

Lindsay running back/punt returner Jacob Hernandez got the scoring started for the Cardinals, with a 55-yard punt return for a touchdown. He would later add a 79-yard touchdown run.

Hernandez ended the night with 11 carries for 114 yards, a rushing touchdown and a punt return for a touchdown, plus he caught two passes for 47 yards.

Cardinal quarterback Alex Jara completed 18-of-25 passes for 312 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Gaven Mann led all receivers with seven catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns.

Even big 300+pound defensive lineman Chris Misaalefua put points up on the board with a safety just before halftime.

Angle Cortes also scored both a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown for Lindsay.

In addition to Lindsay’s offensive performance, the defense was lights out. In fact, the Cardinal defense didn’t even give up a point. Fowlers only score was a fumble recovery for a touchdown by Blake Brisco.
