McAdams’s big night leads Sierra over Caruthers

Sierra’s Gage McAdams continues to establish himself as one of the top small-town running backs in the Valley, as he went over the century mark on the ground again in the Chieftains’ 34-0 win over Caruthers.

McAdams rushed for 156 yards and four touchdowns on 11 carries. Sierra also got a big game out of Aaron Maldonaldo, with nine carries for 131 yards.

The Chieftains jumped out to 20-0 lead in the first quarter and added another touchdown in the second quarter and one more in third quarter.

Sierra’s Clay Jones threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Mikey Waters.

Although Caruthers was shutout, running back Daniel Viella rushed for 101 yards on 12 carries in the contest.

Sierra moved to 3-0, while Caruthers dropped to 1-2.
