McCaw, Ingram rush for nearly 350 yards in Mt. Whitney victory

Hayden McCaw and Michael Ingram combined for nearly 350 yards on the ground in Mt. Whitney’s 48-27 win over Hanford West on Friday.

McCaw led the way with 29 carries for 195 yards and three touchdowns. Ingram finished the game with 23 carries for 152 yards and three touchdowns.

Mt. Whitney jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter. Hanford West cut the deficit to 28-14 going into halftime. But the Pioneers were able to put the Huskies away with a 20-point third quarter.

Pioneer quarterback Jordan Brooks completed 8-of-9 passes for 71 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions.

Leo Carrillo caught seven passes for 131 yards for Hanford West and Vincent Romero rushed for 109 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries.
