McMaryion takes his first snaps at Oregon State

Dinuba grad Marcus McMaryion took his first snap at Oregon State with mixed results in the Beavers’ 26-7 win over Weber State on Saturday.

McMaryion, who it’d been announced would share reps with Seth Collins at quarterback, threw four passes in the game.

The redshirt freshman from Dinuba completed two of his four passes for 18 yards, no touchdowns and an interception.

The coaching staff didn’t really open up the playbook for either quarterback. Collins went 10-for-18 for just 92 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.

But Andersen indicated he’d seen enough.

“I think we’d say after that game, that performance, that Seth is our starter,” Andersen said.
