Metcalf accounts for seven TDs in Farmersville rout

Sam Metcalf threw six touchdown passes and ran for another, as his Farmersville Aztecs destroyed McFarland, 70-0, on Friday in Farmersville.

Metcalf went 13-for-20 for 230 yards, seven touchdowns and no interceptions. He also rushed three times for 33 yards and a touchdown.

Joseph Delacruz led all receivers with six catches for 122 yards and three touchdowns.

Greg Torres caught three passes for 51 yards and two touchdowns in the game.

Farmersville running back Jose Solis caught a 46-yard touchdown and broke a 40-yard touchdown run in the game.

Farmersville improves to 6-3 on the season and appears the likely No. 1 seed for the Division VI Valley Playoffs.

Farmersville led 60-0 at halftime and scored just 10 points in the second half, while maintain the shutout.
