Monache edges North, despite Threlkeld’s performance

North’s Curtis Threlkeld went over the 200-yard mark rushing but it wasn’t enough, as Monache edged the Stars, 22-19, on Friday in Bakersfield.

Threlkeld rushed 16 times for 239 yards and two touchdowns—both of which were over 80 yards.

The Stars held a 19-14 lead heading into the fourth quarter, but the Marauders pulled out in front with a 10-yard touchdown pass from Chris Steventon to Kris Takahashi, which proved to be the game-winner.

Steventon went 10-for-25 for 150 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions.

Lupe Ramos rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries for the Marauders.
