Monache QB Rivas voted Week 2 Player of the Week

In a race that came down to the last hour, Monache’s Miguel Rivas edged Kingsburg’s Kyler Christopher on Tuesday for the Week 2 Player of the Week honors, determined by an online fan poll on CentralValleyFootball.com.

Rivas completed 15-of-18 passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns, plus added a 24-yard touchdown run last Friday in a 42-14 win over Tulare Western.

The Marauders are now 1-1 on the season and will face Mission Oak on Friday in Tulare.
