Oregon State latest to offer Croney

Garces’ Sheldon Croney picked up his first Pac-12 offer today, as Oregon State offered the class of 2015 running back.

The offer was Croney’s first from a team in the six major conferences.

“I was extremely excited to receive my first Pac-12 offer from Oregon State,” Croney said.

Croney had the chance to speak with the Beavers’ head coach Mike Riley, local area recruiter and DB coach Rod Perry and running backs coach Chris Brasfield.

“Oregon State has a great program and I look forward to getting to know more about it,” Croney said.

Oregon State has been recruiting the Valley hard in recent years. Currently San Joaquin Memorial graduate Chris Brown is on the roster.

Also the Beavs signed the most players from the Central Valley in the 2014 recruiting class of any Division I program. Buchanan’s Adam Soesman, Dinuba’s Marcus McMaryion and Bakersfield’s Kevin Hayes each signed letters of intent to play for Oregon State.

Croney has a total of six offers—Oregon State, Fresno State, Boise State, Colorado State, Idaho and Nevada.
