PODCAST: Vasquez, Ribera speak following hard-fought playoff win

Coalinga found itself in battle for the first round of the playoffs against McLane and it took a late blocked PAT for the Horned Toads to come away with the W.

The Horned Toads will now move on to quarterfinals of the Division IV Valley Playoffs. Coalinga, the fourth seed, will host fifth-seeded Chowchilla in what could be a high-scoring showdown between two high-powered rushing attacks.

Senior running back Ryan Vasquez had three rushing touchdowns in the game and picked up some key yardage on some crucial fourth quarter, third down on conversions.

With his bruising rushing style, Vasquez took a beating in the game, but he got the tough yards when he needed to. Immediately after the game Vasquez went to the doctor but said he will be ready to go next week.

With Vasquez banged up and slowed down, senior Damian Ribera was called up to carry part of the rushing load and responded with some crucial runs.
