Porterville continues to roll with 46-7 blowout

A team effort propels Porterville to a 46-7 win, as five different Panthers scored a touchdown against Shafter on Friday in Porterville.

Porterville tight end Courtland Duckworth had a big night with five catches for 121 yards and two touchdowns.

Michael Forrester wasn’t give the ball as much as last week, but still managed to rush for 77 yards and two touchdowns on just three carries.

Panther Lalo Nevarez got the scoring started with an 80-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

Porterville quarterback Cody Henwood went 7-for-17 for 153 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Derric Barton scored Shafter’s only touchdown on a four-yard run in the second quarter.

Barton ended the night with 63 yards rushing and Emilio Lopez contributed 49 yards on the ground.

Ted Bloemhof led the Generals in receiving with four catches for 46 yards.
