Ramirez, Dominguez power Selma run game past McLane

Selma running back Jordan Dominguez and quarterback Henry Ramirez each posted triple-digit rushing performances in leading the Bears to a 42-21 first round playoff victory over McLane on Friday.

Ramirez led all rushers with 23 carries for 158 yards and two touchdowns, followed by Dominguez with 20 carries for 124 yards and four touchdowns.

Ramirez also completed 5-of-12 passes for 57 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions.

Selma came out strong, taking a 14-0 lead. But the Highlanders battled back to tie it up at 14-14 in the second quarter. But it was all Bears from there out, as they outscored McLane, 28-7, in the remainder of the contest.

McLane quarterback Julian Kelley completed 9-of-18 passes for 175 yards, a touchdown and an interception, plus he rushed for another score.
