Ramirez near perfect to keep Selma undefeated

Jr-Ramirez-Selma

Selma’s Junior Ramirez was about as perfect as a quarterback can be on just 10 passing attempts in the Bears’ 47-14 road win over Exeter on Friday.

The junior signal caller completed 10-of-10 attempts for 291 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. He also rushed 10 times for 51 yards and another score.

Ramirez’s top receiver was Rudy Rodriguez with five catches for 120 yards and two touchdowns. He also connected with 6-foot-5 wide receiver Tiveon Stroud for a 60-yard touchdown pass and Jason Nicacio with a 46-yard scoring strike.

On the other side of the field, Skylar Miller was involved in both of Exeter’s touchdowns — a 15-yard pass to Caison Wallen and a one-yard run by Miller.

The Bears improved their record to 9-0 on the season with an classic showdown next week against rival Kingsburg.
