Rufus stands tall for Nevada defense vs. SDSU

Bakersfield grad Asauni Rufus finished second on the Nevada defense in tackles in a 31-14 loss to San Diego State on Saturday.

Rufus recorded nine stops in the game for the Wolf Pack.

Edison grad Rykeem Yates made two stops in the game for Nevada.

Clovis grad Dakota Gordon carried the ball once for four yards for San Diego State. Clovis North grad David Wells caught a six-yard pass for the Aztecs.

Rufus leads the Wolf Pack defense with 96 tackles on the season and is four away from becoming the first freshman at Nevada to record 100 tackle in 21 years.
