Selma airs it out for D4 Valley Championship

Selma wide receiver Tiveon Stroud only caught three passes in the Division IV Valley Championship game. But he took all three to the house in Selma’s 39-7 win over Chowchilla on Friday.

Stroud caught three passes for 108 yards and three touchdowns of 26, 25 and 57 yards for the Bears.

His quarterback Junior Ramirez completed 8-of-14 passes for 201 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Selma running back/linebacker Jordan Dominguez led the team with 15 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown, plus intercepted a pass and returned it 25 yards for a touchdown.

The Bears took an 18-0 lead into halftime and extended it to 39-0 at one point.

On the other side of the field, Asa Shields led Chowchilla with nine carries for 74 yards, plus he caught a 25-yard touchdown pass for the Tribe’s only score.
