Anthony Steward put together another one of his monster nights in leading Chowchilla to 20-16 win over Washington Union for the Division IV Valley Championship on Friday.

The senior standout led Chowchilla with 22 carries for 191 yards in the championship.

However teammate Alex Gutierrez added the scoring punch, rushing 10 times for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Danny Chavez also contributed 14 carries for 66 yards and a touchdown.

A very tight game throughout, neither team led by more than a touchdown.

Washington Union quarterback Ashanti Ross cut the deficit to four points with a28-yard touchdown pass to Devontae Massey in the third quarter. But that would be as close as the Panthers would get.
