Tehachapi crushes Foothill, 49-7

Skylar Valencia scored three touchdowns as part of Tehachapi’s monster first quarter in the Warriors’ 49-7 road victory over Foothill on Friday.

Valencia rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns on just six carries for the Warriors. Ray Hackleman added 12 carries for 89 yards, as Tehachapi rushed for 286 yards in the game.

Tehachapi scored in a variety of ways in the game.

Nathan Evans picked off a pass on defense and returned it 25 yards for a touchdown, Chris Llamas threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Micah Fjeld and Chris Rhodes and Trent Reynolds each also had touchdown runs in the game.

Valencia has rushed for nearly 1,200 yards and 19 touchdowns for the season.

Foothill wide receiver Demetrius Alexander caught a pair of passes for 79 yards in the game.

Tehachapi improves to 7-2 on the season and 4-0 in league play, heading into a season finale showdown at Garces for the Southeast Yosemite League Championship next Friday.
