Tompkins unstoppable in Central domination

Central sophomore quarterback Trent Tompkins systematically picked apart the Ridgeview defense to lead his Grizzlies to a 42-7 win on Friday in Bakersfield.

Three different Grizzly pass catchers—Diotry Brewer, Jagade Bishop and Jevon Bigelow—hauled in a pair of touchdown passes in the road win.

Tompkins went 18-for-26 for 318 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Grizzlies scored 21 unanswered points before heading to halftime. From there, Central never looked back.

Ridgeview quarterback Jamar Cotton-Moya went 6-for-9 for 108 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions, plus he also rushed 16 times for 67 yards. His top receiver was Jaleyn Prevost, who caught three passes for 52 yards and a touchdown.
