Valencia, Tehachapi blow past North

Tehachapi running back Skylar Valencia had a big night on Friday, as the Warriors blew past North, 33-7, for the first round of the playoffs.

Valencia had 171 yards by halftime and probably could have doubled that, but he ended the night with a merciful 207 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries.

Valencia credited his team’s preparation for the victory.

“We came out ready to play. We had confidence and we were prepared, but now we have to get ready for next week,” Valencia told the Bakersfield Californian.

The Tehachapi defense also helped by recovering two fumbles that the Warriors converted into touchdowns.
