Wilson scores defensive TD for UNLV


West grad Fred Wilson scored a defensive touchdown on Saturday in UNLV’s 55-27 loss to Boise State.

With 11:56 remaining in the second quarter, Wilson recovered a fumble and returned it one yard to score a touchdown and cut the Boise State lead at the time to 17-10.

In addition to the fumble recovery, Wilson recorded seven solo stops in the contest.

Edison grad Tyler Horton made one tackle for the Boise State defense.

Boise State improved to 7-2 on the season and 4-1 in MWC play, while UNLV dropped to 2-6 and 1-3.
